Can we deny that God's name isn't important when we recite the Lord's prayer (Matthew 6:9) or read John 17:26, John 12:27-28, Revelation 19:1-6? LORD as it's represented in most translations don't seem to truly represent the meaning of YHWH (he causes to become) If bible translators know where to put God's name why don't they? The KJ used to have it several times as Jehovah, especially at Psalms 83:18 but now they don't have it at all. I thought it was the Jews who opposed the use of God's name but Jesus indicated he made it known and would continue to do so. Seems a little ironic we get baptized in the name and do things in the name but never use it or declare it to others. Just wondering.
Steve.
