Start a discussion on Pre-Teens.

Hello to all:  just wondering what other churches are doing with Pre Teens on Sunday mornings? Do you guys use the church curriculum? do you have them in service? etc... any ideas? thanks

In Moscow Church we used to move along the church curriculum which was sent to us by one of the US churches, but later we changed to preparing lessons for them by ourselves. I mean, there is usually a brother who makes a lesson for pre-teens as for a Bible Talk, mostly it is a kind of discussion so that kids can share their opinions and then some extracts from the Bible on the theme and some kind of game actitvity after. Having been a teacher in the Pre-Teen group for 3 years, I think, what matters most is your own level of commitment to doing God's work for them and serving them. We started as a group of disciples without any special education in chldren's psychology or methodology but now each of the teachers in our pre-teen group hs quite an experience in dealing with them.

Preteens are service until a fellowship break where they then go to a Bible Talk style lesson
