Romans 8:28, Matthew 6:33 - at some period I kept repeating it as a mantra. These two are the most often used. There are some others but they are more to the situation, not universal. It's just not only I read them, but ask myself: Do I really believe what they say? And if I believe, how should I at according to my belief.
And which are yours?
I have a collection of scriptures which I hold on to so tightly. When my seizures and seizure medicines are causing me to have side effects (depression, dementia, kidney stones, frozen shoulders, sleepwalking and more), when somebody stabbed me in the park and I was half conscious and hooked up to and I.V. because I couldnt even feed myself; when I had three fractures in my back and couldnt walk for over a year; when my health problems frustrate me and tempt me to fall into sin; when I feel hopeless inside, then I turn to Mark 9:23 "everything is possible for him who believes",James 2:26 "Faith without deeds is dead", 2 Peter 1:5 "Make every effort", Mark 10:27 "All things are possible with God", and John 5:11 "Pick up your mat and walk". They remind me that I need to have faith; that everything is possible for me when I believe; that I need to back up my faith with some action; that I need to make every effort in my faith and deeds to make anything happen, that I need to include God in my faith and deeds or it's all a waste of time, and that even when I think I can't, I need to pick up my mat and walk, and do it anyway...JohnFinnJr
This scripture is pretty self explanatory. Revelations 21:7 "He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son."
The thought that I could be with him is what I need to take those steps out on faith and overcome. Just read all that we will inherit.
Ephesians 1:11-12 is one I am using now. It tells me that God works things out to conform to his will and glory and that if we live for him, he will not allow for things to prevent His will from being done.
