my husband & I were married for 11 yrs before we had Christopher.  we had been trying for maybe 5 yrs, but I did not want to go on fertility drugs (I'm a nurse & I just didn't want to go thru what I heard others had & risk more failure, keep reading).  And I wasn't someone who had to have a baby of my own, but yet I was desperate to start a family.  We tried adopting 2 boys from foster care & had a major failure there, the parents won back custody of them & we were extremely depressed for about 2 yrs.  so eventually we were trying for another foster child when God decided it was time...I was finally pregnant!  at the 20 wk ultrasound they discovered I had 2 huge ovarian tumors, which never would have been diagnosed without the pregnancy...I had very painful periods for yrs & never knew why...OH, no wonder, I had endometriosis all those yrs!  Had they ruptured...it was like the baby may have saved my life.  The delivery was not going well, so I needed a C-section & then I was able to officially be diagnosed with the disease (& Amen it wasn't cancerous!)  I was worried if he would be ok with the difficult delivery (lack of oxygen during labor) & the MRI I had during pregnancy, but he turned out absolutely perfect.  his personality is just amazing & we're so grateful for this unexpected blessing in our lives, he's now 17 months old.  we still have in our hearts to adopt an older child from foster care as soon as we are able to get a bigger house & move to be near our parents.  Wanted to share this because I just think God is amazing in how he can bless us in such unexpected ways.  thanks for reading!
