It is our joy and encouragement to know that everybody in our family is doing safe and sound in every aspect of life. We in Mandaluyong- San Juan Region of Metro Manila Christian Church believe so much in the importance of family both in physical and spiritual natures. And we are really blessed to have this kind of family. As a community of believers in Christ, we could really feel that "If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it."(1 Cor. 12:26NIV).
Indeed it is heartbreaking to see that for nearly 3 years, one of our Singles' Ministry sister, Maricar Macalintal, is painfully suffering from kidney failure since July 19, 2007. For more than 2 years, she has been undergoing dialysis procedures twice a week amounting to almost P8,000.00 just for her to continue living. Sometimes, she could only get one session, other times, none due to lack of funds. Her family and friends together with the Church have been working hand in hand for the past years to sustain her medication, but it seems that our resources for now are not enough.
Maricar is a sweet, simple, down to earth person and friend and most of all a faithful servant of Christ. Before she was diagnosed of serious kidney problem, she was leading the Ushering Ministry and serving in the Church. It is her joy to serve. Unfortunately, her current physical condition does not allow her to continue this service. But she is a hopeful woman and her courage to face life's challenges does not cease and we wish to help her in keeping that ray of hope burning. But we realized that we can't do it alone. And for this reason we need your very help and support.
A far greater plan is in sight. We wish not only to sustain her dialysis procedures weekly but also to have her undergo kidney transplant operation as soon as all resources are completed. The operation alone costs more or less P2,000,000.00 not to mention her medication after the operation. So with this we appeal to your benevolent hearts. Please help us come up with this particular amount.
