What is the best way to help a sibling to overcome alcohol/drug addiction?

The sibling would best benefit from professional help. Addiction is a complex thing that requires the help from someone who really understands and has been trained in how help the addict to work through its many complex issues.

The type of help they would need would depend on where they are in their addiction. If there is a CR ministry in your Church, I would start there.
