Hello, I ask this question because I am curious to see what other disciples have to say about how they know God exists. What if someone who was not a disciple asked you that question. How would you answer?
Thanks in advance.

My son Tyler (7yrs. old) had a 'discussion' w/ another 7 yr. old in Alabama - whose family did not believe God existed. It went something like this...
Tyler: ...'Then who do you think made the earth?'
Other child: 'It was already here'
Tyler: 'Then who do you think made the air you're breathin' in?"
Other child: 'It was already here too'
Tyler: 'WRONG'
I know you were asking for input from disciples, but I couldn't help but put this up here.

there is no way to say that god doesnt exist.
he is everywhere and everything, how do you think this world was made?
the world is so detailed, complicated and wonderfully put together it is IMPOSSIBLE to truly believe in your heart that there is no god.
God says in the bible we are without any excuse not to believe in him.
and its true, for me if i ever doubt i look outside at the sky and earth.
it is incredible to me.
thats what i would say if someone asked me.
hhhhm, if someone will ask? i will ask him back, can you see the air? no,but you still believe that there is air...so same with God,,,God exist because breathe of life comes from God....people did not just appear like corn that just popped,,,God exists- the fact that we breath, we can't say that we came into this world because we have the power to do so.....though i respect the fact that people questioned about existence of God due to difficulties they had in life,,, i met one friend who never believe that God exists, because he is sick right now,,, and is dying,,,,,does God exist?
Well...just teach the Bible. :-)
If a reader can not accept Genesis 1:1 then he will not believe the next pages. It is the first test - FAITH (see Hebrew 11:1).
The book of Genesis tell the story in the garden. After man falled in sin they hide from God. Means...sins make us do not like God. Also the same with atheist. they do not like God instead of they do not believe in God. No 100% pure original atheist in this world but there are many anti-God.
There are several ways to make the case that God exists. One thing we should be careful about is saying that the atheist can't prove that God doesn't exist. If you say that then the atheist has his response all ready for you: "You can't prove that the Flying Spaghetti Monster doesn't exist"
Check out the following links for arguments that prove God's existence:
I've dedicated a website to this subject. Its called www.KnowItsTrue.com
I love Apologetics!!!
About the Big Bang, I want to say that I DO believe in it, and I think it is the greated proof for the existence of God, ever to come out of science. Heres why:
Bertrand Russell (a famous Atheist) made the argument that says:
1. If everything needed a creator, the God needed a creator.
2. If God didn't need a creator, then neither did the universe.
3. Therefore the universe could have always been here, and we don't need God to explain its origin
He said this before the Big Bang theory was made. The Big Bang theory shows that the universe had a begining. ALL atheist scientists agree that the universe is not eternal
The also agree that prior to the Big Bang there was no space and there was no time. The Big Bang brought space and time into existence.
Therefore whatever caused the big bang, must be able to exist outside of space and time.
What do you call something that exists out side of time? Eternal
What do you call something that exists out side of space? Immaterial
So therefore, the universe was created by something that is immaterial and eternal.
Immaterial and eternal? what fits that description?
God
