Hello, I'm part of the Campus Ministry in Puerto Rico, and I was wondering, what kinds of things other campus ministries do after devo to promote fellowship, not only among disciples, but among visits too?

(Forgive me if I'm not too clear. There still a few things I can express the way I want to in English, but I try my best. Smile)

Your English is Fine Bro!

I am in Southern Connecticut and our ministry is rebuiding. It is just a few of us here and we really need to be connected. For fellowship, most of the times we go out to eat. We also celebrate eachothers birthdays like crazy, taking the opportunity to encourage visitors. Having Movies nights would be something to consider aswell!!

God Bless you guys!!

Thank you!

We are also in the same situation. Our devos are held at someone's house usually, but we think that it could seem boring for those visitors that are used to wordly fun on Friday nights. I'm also aware that our attitude can affect visitors view of devotionals tho.

Hey Pedro whats up? In my campus ministry were always hanging out late at dennys we go to eat or hang out at the brothers house and chill out. I have the mentality that as disciples we can make ordinary things seem fun. I love when we have all campus devos and all the campuses from la get together and worship.

Tomorrow we have our annual sportsday which features our tug of war competition and the winning region takes home the trophy. Our leader Pablo wants to win it and then bury the trophy somewhere and then bring  a new trophy next year lol!

That sounds like fun! I'm aware that the correct attitude should be enough. Our ministry is actually composed of every campus with disciples (We are only 9, tho) and we are indeed trying to make ordinary things as fun as we can.

Hey P_Jay!  Our campus ministry here in Phoenix, Arizona is rebuilding by the grace of God.  Just in this past week we have baptized four brothers into the campus ministry!  As you read in our lesson "Taking it Higher"we are also trying to unify as much as we can.

To do this we play volleyball on our campus courts every Thursday and have special events scheduled almost every weekend.  This events are anything from having game nights, to going out to dinner and movie, hiking, or just evangelizing together.  Another fun thing that our ministry has done in the past is have themed nights out.  The most recent of these times was a 70's night out where we all dressed up in clothes that modeled the 70's style of dress and went out to dinner.

I hope these suggestions help!  I know that the most fun we have together is usually doing the simple things like the game night ...and that doesn't cost money so it's a great option for college students Smile.

God Bless,

Kayla

Wow, that is great!

Yeah, unity among us is a must, and we have been working in that for the past weeks.

Thanks for the suggestions. It's really encouraging to learn more about other ministries around the world.

Hello everyone,

I was part of the Knoxville campus ministry in Tennessee. I'm now helping with the Nashville campus ministry. Both ministries are small (10-15 people each)

Some ideas just to get people involved are some old games that I'm sure most poeple have played when they were little. Such as: hide and seek, frisbee, freeze tag, etc. Some other things you could do is card games, board games, volleyball, tennis, soccer, kickball, etc. The only limit to things to get people involved is your own imagination.

I hope you are inspired to use your imagination :)

God bless you and the ministry.
