This is something that fell on my heart and I thought I would share. Feel free to pass it along if you believe it will help someone else.

Acts 3:6-10 (New International Version)

6Then Peter said, "Silver or gold I do not have, but what I have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk." 7Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man's feet and ankles became strong. 8He jumped to his feet and began to walk. Then he went with them into the temple courts, walking and jumping, and praising God. 9When all the people saw him walking and praising God, 10they recognized him as the same man who used to sit begging at the temple gate called Beautiful, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.

This man was crippled and looking for something, begging even and God made it possible that Peter healed him from his ailment and he began to walk. Now, This was no ORDINARY walk. In v.8, It says he praised GOD. It doesn't say if this man later repented of his sin and was baptized but I am sure his life was changed forever.

I, TOO, was once crippled, not in the sense of my wreck crippling me. You see, I was crippled by sin. The wreck was where I saw the need for God. I came to Atlanta for something(successful business, fame, career), However, GOD'S plan for me in Atlanta were different. Now on my road to recovery( a year later), both, physically and spiritually my walk is getting stronger. I may not be able to jump the best physically but spiritually my soul is leaping for joy, just as the crippled man.

Mark 9:44-45 (New International Version)

45And if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life crippled than to have two feet and be thrown into hell.

This passage is funny cause I used to do some modeling and you kinda need your legs and feet for that :). As a matter of fact, I was on my way to a photo shoot when I had my wreck. But, I see it as God having different plans for my life. That verse became and active part in my life, 11-11-08. I didn't care that I may have lost my leg( God blessed that it was saved), Didn't care that I would have a limp(almost none existent now) Romans 8:28 says And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. My walk with Christ is much more important because my love for him is IMMENSE and I want to serve him WHOLEHEARTEDLY.

John 12:25-26 (New International Version)

25The man who loves his life will lose it, while the man who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. 26Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.

Romans 6:1-4 (New International Version)

1What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? 2By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? 3Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

In essence, I lost the life I once had only to gain this NEWNESS. This refreshing life in JESUS! So he will be given the glory, honor, fear and praise EVERYDAY with MY NEW WALK.
