Hi. My name is John Finn Jr. I was baptized on June 21st 1992 in Worcester, Massachusetts, USA. On that very day, the brother who baptized me brought me down to the park around the city hall (a place where many people gathered). I watched him as he shared his faith (inviting people to a Bible discussion group or to church). Finally I did the same. I asked this brother how long we should evangilize. He told me "Personally, I like to set a goal for how many people I share my faith with, and I won't go home until I have made my goal". He went on to tell me that his goal was to meet ten new people a day. I told him that I was going to Worcester State College and that I was constantly surrounded by thousands of people and that I could easily share my faith with 25 people a day. I graduated from college in 1993, but still kept my goal of 25 people a day going strong. At times I was tempted by my health to give up my goal (I had so many seizures that I had temporary loss of eyesight and short term memory, which happened three times between 1992 and 2004, as well as being bed ridden due to not being able to walk for a year and a half in 1995 due to three fractures in my back), but instead of giving up my goal of meeting 25 people a day, I recuperated at home, and called 25 people whose name was in the local phone book and invited them to church. I even invited my chiropractor, who studied the Bible with my church elder. So, even though I could not make it to church at times, I still was making a difference on this planet. Between 1992 and 2004, I shared my faith with 25 people a day, everyday, for a grand total of over 100,000 people (half the population of the City of Worcester), I have studied the Bible with near 50 people and have baptized near 25 people. The secret to my success was never giving up on my goal, always finding a way to share my faith with somebody, somewhere. When I was healthy I would spend just an hour in a place where people would be found all over: The park at city hall, the local library, the many campuses of the many colleges (libraries, cafeteria's, and more) all over the city, the malls, the book stores, the local parks, and the fact is, that I have baptized somebody from every place that I have just mentioned. Even when I went to the Paris Conference for two weeks, I met and studied with, and baptized a man and his girlfriend; even when a brother who had shared his faith with 119 people on one single day and challenged me to do the same, I took the challenge and came back to tell him that I had shared my faith with 123 on one day (this was when I was just 2 months old in Christ). In my first 2 1/2 years in the church I baptized 8 people as my church more than doubled in size, growing by over 100 people in that time). I made a difference. I also did not discriminate againt any people, baptizing people from the Phillipines, Peurto Rico, Dominican Republic, Greece, France, and more. In 2004. I am in a new city now and hope again to make the same difference in the City of Springfield, Mass that I made in Worcester, Mass. I will close out by saying John 28:19 "Go and make disciples", Mark 9:23 "Everything is possible for him who believes", James 2:26 "Faith without deeds is dead", and 2 Peter 1:5 "Make every effort", and when you feel like you cannot share your faith I offer you John 5:11 "Pick up your mat and walk!" and just do it anyway; just take one hour a day and look for the lost like you would look for a 1 million dollar bill.
