The ICMC was an amazing time for me to get a new perspective on my life, my city, and my campus. I liked Vince's opening sermon on Thrusday. It challenged me to look at where I am and see if I am looking at it the way Jesus would. Would he be alright with it, or would he be in tears about the condition of my city, college, and most importantly my life. It really makes me take a look at my life to see how closely I am matching my life with Jesus', and I've already found some improvements that I haven't wasted time in getting on!
One of the most impacting things was the Day of Service with HOPEww. It was so humbling to see the area as it actually is and to hear the stories of those still living there, trying to rebuild not only their homes, but their lives as well. To be honest, that is one of the main things I remember from the conference. The lessons were awesome, but the Day of Service had so much impact that I have to use the notes I took to recall what they were about!
I'm also excited to hear how next year's conference will be carried out, by having a two locations on both coasts of the US. I was also excited to hear that there will be ICMCs in 8 other nations as well, since I'll be Japan for the next 12 months starting in August. I'll definitely need to be kept posted on those.
I also made a short video for my church which I presented this past Sunday. Take a look if you llike. It's in my profile's video gallery.
