i am a single mom to a handsome, talented, and healthy young man. the thing is, i've been praying for years for him to see God and understand God's love for him and so far his heart has not been moved. i have turned to brothers and leaders for help and advice and come away empty-handed - so i struggled with the hurt from the lack of concern and love for my son. the sad thing is that my son has never known the love and acceptance in church that i have experienced. i finally stopped insisting that he come to church when he turned to me and said, "mom, why do you want me to go someplace where no one likes me unless i do what they say?"

my prayer request is to ask God to reveal Himself in all of His love and acceptance, to my son. for God to place a strong and faithful disciple in my son's path, willing to meet him where he is at and strong enough to love unconditionally. i so desperately want my son to have loving relationships in the kingdom and to see faith in action, not in lip service...

thank you in advance for lifting this up in prayer on my (and my son's behalf).

I will pray for your son and pray for the brothers in your region to wake up and remember to love as Jesus did. I am guilty of similar things & try not to do that. I've had my 3 brothers visit church in the past and sometimes I've had apathetic response to them as well, which bugs me. For the most part, they have been taken care of and I think the children in our region are as well. I will pray for God to help you in this area. Take heart!

Don't give up in prayers...Soon something will move...Sometimes we think that if people will do this or that, for example I say if brothers will share the faith often and not once in a few months there will be more guys in the church...but I know that God will use us to meet people that have an open heart for Him wherever and whenever...For sure that somebody will be there for your son...(even that you're around him ;) )...
