Hi there, my name's Alex.

I must say I was pretty happy to see this group up here. I live in London, and am a student at the moment, but not of music. I adore composing and songwriting though, and ideally would like to delve into it as some form of a career. I am most interested in conceptual music and minimalism, but I enjoy a good bit of contemporary too. Particularly electronica (ambient, glitch, etc), art-rock/post-rock and indie (especially noise rock and shoegaze), and classical (especially avant-garde and 20th century)...

Is anyone in particular into IDM (Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, etc) because it is very easy to collaborate on electronic pieces as such, as the recording can generally be composed solely via computer.
