Hi everyone, While I am not really a part of the singles ministry any longer, I do want to share my intention with starting the group in 2001.  ---Christi (LeVan) Baus

As disciples we are always going to be focussed on the mission, and our local churches are there to support us in that mission and of course we will support each other. However, my goal for this group was to be able to have fun together outside of a "ministry" fashion. In other words, I thought it would be best for this to just be about fun and meeting other older disciples planning events together. It was designed for us, for support, for friendship and for dating. It is not an outreach, it is the one area of your lives where you are strictly just having fun and making friends with other disciples. Your over 30's haven if you will. As you meet people, you can share quiet times, world news, and evangelism and outreach with them on a one-on-one basis, which means you will have to participate if you want to meet people. :-D

Disregard for these rules will cause you to be removed from the group.

I.  MEMBERSHIP: For the over 30's members of the Churches of Christ.  You can join this group on January 1st of the year you will turn 30. So even if you are 29 on January 1st and your birthday isn't until December of that year, you can still join.

PROFILE PHOTO REQUIRED: All members must have a pofile photo of themselves to be elegible for membership. Not Mickey Mouse or an avatar but a real photo. At least somewhere in your profile pics.

II. POSTS:

This is just a heads up on posting events. 

This does not include "kingdom singles retreats" and the like. They can and should all be posted here

1) Please make sure the event is KNET30 ready, meaning a group of over 30's singles is planning to go OR wanting to go.

2) Post all events under "EVENTS". If you do not have a group going but would like to get people interested in going with YOU then post it as an IDEA un EVENTS

3) IF YOU are NOT attending and you don't know of anyone who is, then it would be considered an advertisement. This group has been strictly used to promote FELLOWSHIP for disciples 30+, not for promotion of outside events.

Post only activities related to "FELLOWSHIP".

No quiet times, no world affairs, nothing that doesn't include the immediate fellowship of 2 or more people, and is not ministry related. Please don't use the group for ADVERTISING, Use it ONLY WHEN YOU HAVE AN EVENT TO POST. PERIOD!

So the following are okay: I have even narrowed this down to "GROUP" events. These do not have to be "Ministry" events, if you want to have a party at your house, please post it here!

• A Group Event
• Retreats
• Trips
• Cruises
• Dinner Party for 10 people
• Party at someone's home

Get the gist, anything for the group as a "whole" is okay.

III. WHAT YOU CANNOT DO:

Fishing: If you have an event planned at your fellowship, and don't post it here until the last minute fishing for "Brother's only" or "Sister's only" we have strongly frowned on that, as the events must be posted for everyone in the group from the BEGINNING. You can say Limited to 30 men and 30 women, or equal ratio of men to women required for this event, if you are trying to keep the balance, but you CANNOT come here just to fill the void at your fellowship. Please contact members individually for that.

You cannot post looking for one or two people: Such as, you want to go shopping and looking for someone to go with you. Looking for a roommate. or a ride from Boston to NYC, or LA to San Diego.

Thanks for understanding. It will help keep KNET30 clear for posting events devoted to fellowship.

Thank you for keeping this group going. I had a vision when I started the group and many great friendships and relationships have been born out of it! Have an awesome summer.
