We want to invite you to Czech spiritual retreat at the Christian conference centre Immanuel (www.immanuel.cz). Main spekers will be Christian and Sabine Herbst from Zurich church. We are pleased to announce that the fifth annual Antelope Valley Christian Writers' Conference has been scheduled for May 14-15, 2009 . Whether you're an absolute beginner - a seasoned professional - or somewhere in-between, this may be for you. If you enjoy writing, and you'd like to learn how the publishing business works, you are welcome to attend.
We will meet in the facilities of The Antelope Valley Church, the local congregation of the International Churches of Christ. Our meeting place is in the city of Lancaster, a semi-rural community near Los Angeles.
Now more than ever, we in our brotherhood must be able to clearly articulate our beliefs, practices, and convictions. Here at the AV Christian Writers' Conference, our instructors can help you learn how to do exactly that.
As we know, God gives different gifts to different people. For some, they feel called to preach. For others, they travel far and wide as missionaries. Some serve God with music, others with gifts of bookkeeping or teaching or administration. We may have different roles, but we all share the same mission to serve God and his people.
Clearly, writers are a unique breed. For us, the Lord has given us the special gift of putting pen to paper to share a message. We have a passion to take a simple story and build it into a finished product that will inspire others.

We have assembled a blue-ribbon panel of distinguished speakers, who have dozens of books and decades of experience between them. In addition to their own writing ventures, each of them has a ministry dedicated to training new writers.

Las Vegas Single's Mission Team
Are you Single? Do you have a desire to make a difference in our world?
There are approximately 1 million singles living in Las Vegas and the surrounding area! Forbes magazine just rated Las Vegas the #1 city for Nightlife, #2 city for Coolness, and #9 city for Job Growth Potential. Las Vegas has a huge pull to attract singles, but for many of the wrong reasons. We are waging war against Satan's lies of gambling, sex, and drugs. Who will join us and reach out to lost? To join in the fight against Satan in a city that is known for its Sin?
The Greater Las Vegas Single's Ministry is passionate about making a difference in this city and we need your help. Our Single's Ministry is going to make a difference by serving those in need, wither they are in the church or the community. We hope the singles we invite, serve, and build friendships with will see we are not another Sunday experience church but a body of believers who live out our faith. We want our single's ministry to shine like the bright stars of the night! "Our Father" will be our example.
Currently, the Las Vegas Singles' Ministry has twenty one disciples... not impossible to reach out to all the singles here, but some help would be a blessing from heaven. Our prayer is to grow our Singles' Ministry exponentially by reaching out to all single disciples, young at heart and strong in spirit, who are willing to move to Las Vegas, Nevada. We desire the singles coming to live out...

Our Prayer for Disciples Choosing to Join Us:
The ideal mission team member has been a disciple for a minimum of 1 year; a current member in good standing with one of the ICOC churches; mature in his/her faith; single; at least 21 years old; able and willing to relocate to Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, at their own expense; have reliable transportation; outgoing personality; excellent communication skills; and a strong desire to spread the Word of God everywhere he/she goes. We are interested in disciples who are fluent in English and another language, preferably Spanish.
Housing:
We are working out the possibility of helping the Mission Team with housing and food for the first couple of months to allow the team time to find work and get acclimated to Las Vegas.
Employment:
This is not a church staff position. The Mission Team members will not be employed by the church. Every Mission Team member is to secure a work within 2 months of moving to Las Vegas.

Your asking why ? I want to contribute in helping my husband support our family. We can't afford daycare and I dont want to sacrifice time spent with my children by working a job overnight. With the economy my husband is unable to find steady work. For the past 6 years ,as a married couple w/kids, we moved from apartment to apartment. God is still really good to us, because we are still provided some shelter and food. Where ever we go together we are our home, but for 2010, I desire to provide more of a stable life for my young ones whom are fifteen, three and five years in age. The desire to have a birthday party in the backyard, and invite neighbors over for a b-b-que after bible talk would be awesome. Have you ever aimed for something that seemed so unreachable?
