We are pleased to announce that the fifth annual Antelope Valley Christian Writers' Conference has been scheduled for May 14-15, 2009 . Whether you're an absolute beginner - a seasoned professional - or somewhere in-between, this may be for you. If you enjoy writing, and you'd like to learn how the publishing business works, you are welcome to attend.

We will meet in the facilities of The Antelope Valley Church, the local congregation of the International Churches of Christ. Our meeting place is in the city of Lancaster, a semi-rural community near Los Angeles.

Now more than ever, we in our brotherhood must be able to clearly articulate our beliefs, practices, and convictions. Here at the AV Christian Writers' Conference, our instructors can help you learn how to do exactly that.

As we know, God gives different gifts to different people. For some, they feel called to preach. For others, they travel far and wide as missionaries. Some serve God with music, others with gifts of bookkeeping or teaching or administration. We may have different roles, but we all share the same mission to serve God and his people.

Clearly, writers are a unique breed. For us, the Lord has given us the special gift of putting pen to paper to share a message. We have a passion to take a simple story and build it into a finished product that will inspire others.
